Mr. Harris graduated from Northwestern State University in 2003 with his Bachelors of Science in Nursing. He began his nursing career at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center here in Shreveport working on the Pediatric floor. He later moved to Sutton Children’s Medical Center in 2005 where he worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care first as a staff nurse then as the Team Leader (charge nurse).

 

While working at Sutton Children’s Medical Center, he began classes working toward becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. He graduated in 2008 with his Masters of Science in Nursing in Advanced Child Health from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He then worked in Marshall, Texas at a rural health pediatric clinic shortly after graduation and stayed there for 4 years until going to work for Progressive Children's Clinic.

 

He is married and his wife is a registered nurse. They have one daughter and a dachshund.
